Recently the government announced that the next 5 year budget (2019-24) for rail had been increased further to £48 billion. This represents the biggest investment in modern times and comes in addition to the HS2 project that is expected create huge demand for skills and labour.

Our joint venture partnership between PPS Rail Ltd and government agencies and colleges offers you the opportunity to gain entry into the railway industry by undertaking a training programme which will allow access onto rail-related projects. Employers are looking for all trades to be transferred onto rail projects and new starters.
For everyone who is eligible for our Workforce Programme PPS Rail will:
- Provide an introduction to our fully funded partner
- Arrange medical testing (Network Rail requirement)
- Arrange drugs and alcohol testing (Network Rail requirement)
- Provide required rail infrastructure training
- Provide PPE that meets Network Rail standards
Once you have been trained you can progress and develop in the rail industry where your existing skills can be utilised and appreciated.
NO PREVIOUS RAIL EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
Drugs and alcohol test
Initial training provided:
PTS AC/DCCR, ICI, OLEC 1, Track Induction, Portable Plant training.
This package is available fully funded if the qualifying criteria are met. It can also be provided privately at cost if you have a Railway sponsor.
